Testimonials

“After losing my job in July of 2008 when my employer closed the doors, I was devastated to be living on less than half of the wages I was accustomed to now drawing unemployment for the first time in my life. I had to let my truck go back and then rapidly began falling behind on my mortgage and other obligations. The calls from creditors were more than I could handle as this situation was NOT my fault. A friend recommended Shane Perry to me and he was able to see me very quickly. We talked about my options and made the decision to pursue a Chapter 7. I was so scared and thought that would end my credit record forever! It is now only a year (October 2011) since my discharge and my slate is clean and I have been able to start rebuilding my credit history from scratch with a clean slate!! It was so much easier than I ever thought and Shane was very supportive every step of the way. He took the fear out of it all for me and it was so worth it! There is definitely life after bankruptcy!!”

“I was living in a reality that was dominated by the stresses of credit card debt. My life was disturbed by worry and my long term goals were in a state of uncertainty, but all these negative aspects of my life have now faded after filing bankruptcy. I truly feel free again and my worries have lifted. I would suggest bankruptcy as a true solution for relieving the haunting effects of debt.”

“I made some regrettable financial decisions my first go at life on my own.  I used credit cards as a way of supporting myself during college and was too inexperienced to know what I was getting myself into.  I had always thought that between obtaining a higher education and having not been without a job since I was 14, I was going to pick up a well paying job and easily pay back this debt.  Well, I finished my education with a Master’s degree and I never did find that well paying job.  The only way I could make ends meet between my credit card debt and my student loans was to pay no more than the minimum balance on all of my accounts.  I continued to live that way until I had a child.  I could not afford to pay most of the out of pocket costs for the medical care I needed during my pregnancy.  When I failed to pay those medical bills, the phone calls started.  I received several calls every day and despite letting all the calls go to voicemail, it made me feel horrible.  What made me feel so horrible was that I did not feel as though there was anything within my power that I could do to fix it.  Those calls forced me to think about my financial standing constantly.  It forced me to realize that the only way I was ever going to move forward financially was to file bankruptcy.  Shane Perry filed my bankruptcy case and those phone calls went away.  All that weight of the credit card and medical debt was gone.  I did not lose my car.  And, surprisingly, my credit score went up immediately after filing for bankruptcy.  Since then, my credit score continues to increase; I have paid off my vehicle ahead of schedule; I have not touched a credit card; and last weekend I was able to take my 3 year old daughter to Carowinds and not feel guilty about it.  I could not have achieved any of that without filing for bankruptcy.  Thank you, Shane.  My little one thanks you too, I’m sure.”

“Shane Perry has allowed me to obtain financial freedom.  I now have more money in the bank than I’ve ever had.  Just purchased my dream car + paid cash for it and in a position to buy a house.  I only wish I had done it sooner. Even managed to keep a credit card.  Thank you. ”
